Salt Lamps
Hand Carved Flower Himalayan Salt Lamp
d’aplomb’s Salt Lamp is probably one of the prettier salt lamps I have in my home. When I was doing my own research on salt lamps, I found this company had good ratings and reviews. I’d like to add my findings as well since I’ve had this big beauty in my home for a while now.
First and foremost, this is a large and heavy (8ish lbs) lamp. The size and weight may help you decide where you put your lamp. I do have several large natural rock salt lamps, but they don’t seem quite as heavy. I mention the weight, so people are aware and not surprised when they pick it up. The lamp stands about 7 ½” H by 5″ wide so again a decent size.
Now that we are past the important dimensional specs let’s look at what this lamp can do for you and your space
This lamp puts off the prettiest amber glow. I really love the light and warmth from salt lamps, and this one is quite lovely with its unique carving to look like a flower. It can really fill a small to medium-sized room with a wonderful ambiance and looks beautiful when paired with other mood type lighting or additional salt lamps.
One of the other nice features is a dimming switch so if you want just a bit of salt glow or a brighter light you can do that with the dimmer. It is recommended you use a 15w bulb and not exceed that wattage for safety reasons. Manufacturer supplies the bulb so you can plug in and enjoy it right away. Also, with any salt lamp or candle product it’s always best to place a protective mat or plate under your lamp. I have used ceramic, stone and glass and you can even use a coaster. Salt lamps will lightly bleed moisture especially in a humid environment so you will want to protect your furniture. There are a ton of options so I’m positive you can find something you like that goes with your décor or you may have something at home.
